Decoration of the drawing room ceiling in a Tudor manor house. Our brief was to add handpainted detailing with a sensitivity to the historical character of the room. Drawing inspiration from Elizabethan wall hangings and painted cloths, we incoporated olive leaves, coronets and stylised pomegranate motifs. The vine runs seamlessly between the beams, and the paintwork was given a textured glaze to create a feeling of years gone by.
