Delivery & Returns

 We aim to dispatch your order as soon as possible but please note items will ship at varying times dependent on whether they are products held in stock or made to order. On occasion, lead times may be extended due to volume of orders or holidays. For products that are made to order, we will inform you individually of the current lead times, in the item details.


Samples are charged at a flat rate of £2 for small and £4 for large samples, sent via Royal Mail for both UK and international delivery.

Delivery of samples is free within the UK, with a small fee charged for international shipping. We aim to send samples within 3-5 working days.


Please ensure that you provide us with the correct delivery address. It is the responsibility of the customer to supply all the appropriate contact details for our third party contracts to use to enable them to deliver your parcel to the correct address. For any parcels that do not reach their intended destination due to incorrect information being given, all charges incurred to rectify the correct delivery or loss of, will be the responsibility of the customer.


Please note that every care has been taken to describe items and to ensure they are represented accurately in the Tess Newall Website photographs and copy prior to your order. In some cases slight variations to the colours may occur. 

Our wallpapers and lampshades are digitally printed to recreate a hand-painted look. Unique characteristics and details associated with this technique are essential to the character of our products and cannot be classified as faults. 

In particular, our surface printed wallpaper may contain slight variations due to the nature of the printing process which is distinctive and gives it a unique character.


Delivery and shipping estimates can be provided on request. Final delivery costs may be subject to additional charges such as import duties. Customers are recommended to contact their local authorities if purchasing from outside the UK to confirm what tax and duty may be applicable.

Please be sure to check the product details on the items you have purchased as there may be lead times specified on the product page. We will do our best to improve lead times where possible. 


​We hope you love your products but if you wish to return an item, goods must be sent back within 14 days of receiving them. In addition, please note product specific details below.


Please note that we do not accept returns of samples.  


Rolls of wallpaper must be returned unopened, in their original packaging.  


Lampshades must be returned in their original packaging, in the same condition as they were received, ensuring every effort is made to protect them.  


Mirrors must be returned in their original packaging, in the same condition as they were received, ensuring every effort is made to protect the mirror glass.  


All Tess Newall made-to-order products are non-returnable. We do not accept returns unless the product is a) damaged in transit before you receive them or b) if the product is faulty.

All goods are dispatched suitably packaged for transit purposes only. You should inspect the goods upon delivery and check that no items are damaged. If goods are damaged you should sign for as such upon delivery and contact within 24 hours of delivery including photographic evidence of the damage. We do not take responsibility for goods that have been damaged after delivery as a result of poor handling or storage.

You must check the product for faults before installation. Should you believe that your item is faulty you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery at including photographic evidence.

Returns labels are provided and the return of goods is at the customer's own expense. 

Items should be returned to: Tess Newall Returns, Newall LTD, Unit 7 Birch, Kembrey Business Park, Swindon SN2 8UU within 14 days of receipt. If the item returned meets our return terms, any sum debited from your credit or debit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as the goods are received and processed, excluding the initial shipping cost. Please note, we will not cover decorator costs or any other additional costs that arise as this is solely your responsibility.
