CARLOS PLACE

Decoration of a drinks cabinet in the dining room of an impressive Victorian apartment. Our brief was to create a contemporary spin on traditional Chinoiserie wallpaper, giving a sense of playful sophistication and a nod to the natural world. Using a limited palette of earthy tones, the scene evokes a soft and inviting landscape. The piece provides practical storage and adds character to a beautifully layered room. We also adorned an original plaster moulding with a garland of foliage and ferns, softening the grand and imposing stairway.
