Decorative Painting Workshop, September 7th, Lewes

Join Tess for a unique decorative painting workshop, hosted close to her home and studio near Lewes in East Sussex.

We are inviting guests to select an item of their choice to decorate, including bobbin lamps, candlesticks and mirror frames made by Alfred Newall. 

Our workshops are held in a traditional flint barn in the heart of the South Downs. Surrounded by beautiful Sussex downland and looking out over a rose garden, the studio provides plenty of inspiration for decorative painting.

Hosted by Sussex friends Field Food, workshop guests will be treated to delicious food throughout the day, including a locally sourced seasonal feast for lunch.

Our workshop will run from 10am till 4pm, during which Tess will lead guests through a decorative painting project of your choice. Tess will outline the process and introduce techniques before guiding guests in sketching out their designs, practicing motifs and painting a piece to take home and treasure.
