Herbarium Decoupage

Decoration with a handpainted wallpaper.

Inspired by the bedroom of 18th century Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, Tess painted botanical studies onto individual sheets of parchment paper and pasted them in an overlapping decoupage style. Painted from life, the design includes ferns, bluebells, primroses, forget-me-nots, strawberries and wild roses.

This lead to Tess’ first wallpaper design, Herbarium Wildflower.
