Medieval CEILINGS

A traditional decoration, foliage adds softness to a room scheme.

Our brief for the drawing room of this medieval manor house was to create a ceiling which felt as though it has always been there. Our design drew inspiration from medieval wall hangings and painted cloths. The pattern continues irrespective of the beams, as though it was painted before the beams were installed. The paintwork was rubbed back and given a textured glaze to create an historic feel.
